Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. These sessions are delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
You will gain knowledge in:
- the relationship between Lewy body disease, Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia
- the signs and symptoms of these conditions
- accessing support and information
Suitable for: People living with dementia and their family carers/members.
This session will benefit people with or caring for a person with a diagnosis of Lewy body disease, Lewy body dementia or Parkinson's disease dementia who are and in the early, mid and moderate stages of living with dementia.
This session is not suitable for people living with dementia who have behavioural concerns, who are non-verbal or in the late stages of living with dementia.
If you register to attend this session and you are not a current client of Dementia Australia, you will be contacted by Dementia Australia staff to ensure that the program will meet your needs.
This session can be delivered on the behalf of Aged Care and Disability service providers onsite to people living with dementia and families. If you would like to discuss onsite delivery, please contact the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500.
This program is not suitable for professional carers or people employed in the health or aged care industries. The resources, content and delivery will not meet the needs of professionals.
