Safe Return

Safe Return program has been decommissioned in February 2020

The Safe Return was a joint initiative between Dementia Australia South Australia and the South Australia Police to help ensure the safety of people at risk of becoming lost. The program enabled the rapid identification and return home of people who become lost by using a unique ID code engraved on a secure bracelet. The details of the person at risk of becoming lost are accessible only by you and the SA Police.

Supporting and accommodating people with dementia at conferences and other events

Dementia Alliance International (DAI) assembled responses from post-event informal email surveys of the past four years to see how people with dementia and care partners feel about the access, support, and enablement provided at professional meetings of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) and other conferences or events.

In other words, DAI asked if such events are dementia friendly, accessible, and accommodating for people of all ages and disabilities.
