Counselling and Support Services
National Dementia Helpline
Speak with one of our professional consultants about dementia, discuss your needs and connect to a range of programs and services.
Call the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500. Our Helpline operates Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm.
Counselling and support - VIC
Dementia counselling is provided throughout Victoria by telephone, in the family home, at one of our metropolitan or regional offices and via email or video conference by visiting www.helpwithdementia.org.au. If you speak a language other than English, interpreters are available.
Support Groups - VIC
Share your experiences with others who understand in one of the many community based family information and support sessions.
Memory Lane Café
The Memory Lane Café program is a social program for people with dementia, their family members and friends. There are English-language and multicultural Memory Café events around Victoria.
Younger onset dementia services
The term 'younger onset dementia' is used to describe any form of dementia diagnosed in people under the age of sixty-five.

Living with Dementia Program - VIC
A flexible, information and support program for people living with early stage dementia and their support person.
Valuing People: A resource for community organisations
Valuing People is a resource developed by Dementia Australia to assist community organisations achieve excellence in person-centred care. It does this by providing a framework of person-centred principles that support an organisational self-assessment process. The Valuing People website provides a one-stop information hub for resources, including the self-assessment tools.
Education and training for families and carers - VIC
Dementia Australia VIC offers a broad range of sessions and courses for family members, friends and carers of a loved one living with dementia. These are delivered by professional educators with counsellors in a supportive environment. Useful resources and refreshments are provided to attendees.
